The Ketogenic (and low carb) diet typically puts a strong restriction on most dairy products – typically the ones that still have the lactase or milk sugar part intact. This includes mostly liquid dairy products such as milk, buttermilk, condensed milk or dehydrated milk powder.

Of course, the high fat dairy products including butter, cheese, unsweetened yogurt, etc. that have the lactase part removed are still good for consumption. But, for an avid milk lover or milk-related product (such as milkshake) lover it is an extremely bad news. In fact, it is one of the most important things that I miss most while being on the Ketogenic diet.

However, I figured that Almond milk or Soymilk are great replacements for traditional milk and can be safely consumed while doing Keto (or low carb) diet. And, I was optimistic again. But, then I realized that it was not just the milk I missed, it was the combination of milk and cookies!

While milk was sorted out, cookies remained out of reach. However, thanks to some amazing bakers from across the world who have dished together some amazing recipes for cookies that are both Keto-approved and extremely delicious. Here are a few…
